Pediatric/Adolescent Gynecologists (PAG) have expertise in long acting reversible
contraceptives (LARC) for adolescents. Despite ACOGs recommendation that LARCs are
first line contraceptives for adolescents, there remains hesitancy among providers.
This study assessed how a PAG provider effects the use of LARCs among girls ages 13-24.
LARC use among adolescents was compared for a period of time before PAG availability
to a period of time after PAG availability.
