4. Development of a Multi-Disciplinary Endometriosis and Chronic Pelvic Pain Program at a Tertiary Childrens Hospital

      Endometriosis is a debilitating estrogen dependent disease characterized by chronic inflammation and defined by the presence of endometrial glands and stroma outside the uterine cavity. Adolescent endometriosis remains underdiagnosed. The multi-disciplinary Endometriosis and Chronic Pelvic Pain Program was created at a tertiary childrens hospital to increase awareness, standardize documentation of evaluation and treatment of endometriosis in adolescence and capture outcomes.
